MICROBORE COLLETS ACHIEVE LOW RUNOUT IN SMALL TOOLS

REGO-FIX® has expanded its revolutionary powRgrip® toolholding system with the PG Microbore Collets.

Posted: April 30, 2008

REGO-FIX® has expanded its revolutionary powRgrip® toolholding system with the PG Microbore Collets. Developed to counteract inaccuracies caused by runout when using small diameter cutting tools for high precision machining, the new series of collets achieves a TIR < 0.0001 in (3 µm) or better after 20,000 tool changes. REGO-FIX designed the collets to be fully compatible with all PG 10 toolholders and machines. Offered in standard and metric sizes, the broad selection of collets can accurately clamp tool shanks ranging from 0.2 mm (0.0079 in) to 0.9 mm (0.0354 in). www.rego-fix.com
