Exact Metrology, Inc. (Algonquin, IL) has added four Leica Geosystems Laser Trackers to their extensive line-up of portable metrology equipment. Exact Metrology purchased a Leica LTD840 with a Leica T-Probe, and three Leica LTD709 Laser Trackers to further expand their contract inspection and reverse
engineering service capabilities.

Exact Metrology is a full service contract measurement company that provides on-site
inspection, reverse engineering, non-contact laser scanning, and 2D/3D digitizing services as
well as contract programming, software training, part programming, and measurement
equipment implementation. Utilizing the latest in portable measurement technology together
with decades of combined experience, Exact?s application engineers can handle everything
from small to large parts over 30 m, and long-range, large format scanning for
architecture, civil engineering and surveying applications.

?These Leica Laser Trackers enhance our line-up of portable measurement equipment and
give us the flexibility to do a wide variety of work? says Dean Solberg, Principal of Exact
Metrology, Inc. ?On-site inspection is a core component of our service offerings, and these
laser trackers help us to do our job efficiently, quickly, and precisely.?
The Leica LTD709 offers a measurement range of up to 9 m (30 ft) for Portable Coordinate
Measuring Machine (PCMM) applications, which is an increase of 25 percent over the model it replaces. At the same time, the LTD709 boasts a measurement range of 25 m (82 ft) when
used with a reflector. When used with the Leica T-Probe II, hard to reach recesses and
cavities can be measured with astonishing precision.

The Leica LTD840 Laser Tracker and Leica T-Probe has the highest data acquisition rate and long distance measurement of any taser tracker available today. With a probing range of up to 15 m and a measurement range of 40 m, the most demanding wireless probing of large
objects, parts, and assemblies is now possible. www.exactmetrology.com
