GF AgieCharmilles (Lincolnshire, IL) has selected G-Tech CNC Solutions as a new distributor for the company's industry-leading lines of high speed milling and wire and diesinking EDM machines. G-Tech will replace Flint Machine Tools as the company's distributor in states of Georgia and Alabama, as well as the Florida Panhandle.
G-Tech is owned and operated by David Carrizales, a 28-year veteran of the manufacturing industry. Already well-versed in GF AgieCharmilles' extensive range of products, Mr. Carrizales advises that his company's focus is solely on the customer: "We will be selling solutions, not just machine tools." Before starting G-Tech, Mr. Carrizales served as a partner of CAT I Manufacturing in Illinois. He has sold technical customer solutions for the last 18 years. For more information on G-Tech CNC Solutions, please visit http://gtechcncsolutions.com/ or call 864.972.3040.
Also, GF AgieCharmilles recently held an Open House to showcase their new Lincolnshire facility. The event granted visitors an opportunity to take tours and gain invaluable insight into revolutionary new products like the CUT 20 Wire EDM, an affordable, ideal solution for standard cutting tools and general engineering; and the Mikron HPM 600 HD, a stable, robust three-axis machining center designed for High Performance Milling and unlimited High Performance Cutting. Additionally, the Open House held technical seminars dealing with cutting tools, CAD/CAM and workholding technology. A social event was held that evening in appreciation of customers.
The company also recently added RSS feeds to its corporate website, www.gfac.com/us. The feeds provide customers with new headlines on the company's participation at IMTS, its latest products, services and promotions.
RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, is a technology that enables users to subscribe to website feeds and notifies them when there is new or changed content. The notification includes a headline and brief summary of the new article and a link back to the site.
"Before RSS, customers that wanted new information on GF AgieCharmilles had to bookmark the website and return periodically to see what had been updated," said Gisbert Ledvon, Business Development Manager at GF AgieCharmilles. "Now, they can simply subscribe to the feed and receive relevant, up-to-date information that can be read on their own time."
