CADCAM and nesting specialists JETCAM International today announced a technical partnership with FCC Software AB, the developers of the AutoPOL 3D CAD and bend simulation software, based in Sweden.
Both companies will work together to provide seamless integration from FCC?s AutoPOL 3D CAD software and JETCAM?s nesting software. Users will be able to automatically import AutoPOL files directly from within JETCAM Expert. Furthermore this process can be fully automated using JETCAM?s SCAP (Single Component Automatic Nesting) or dissimilar part nesting modules, allowing for files to be automatically unfolded, imported, tooled (or profiled), nested and generated as NC code within seconds.
This process can be further automated using JETCAM?s RCP (Remote Control Processing) system, which, when integrated into an MRP system will provide complete unmanned operation; orders will be placed on the MRP and AutoPOL files will be immediately processed through to NC code generation without any human intervention.
Mike Weber, Managing Director for JETCAM International said; ?Many more of our customers are working with AutoPOL, so this partnership will increase the reach of JETCAM?s automation within the design and manufacturing workflow. The combined product solution gives the customer more efficiency, along with a manageable and scalable environment.?
Alf-Åke Hall, General Manager for FCC Software added; ?JETCAM is a product that is also in markets where we already have an extensive customer base, and it was a natural progression for us to work with them. We share many of the same goals and many of our dealers are also JETCAM resellers. This integration will add great value to both of our customer bases.? The AutoPOL import facility is planned for inclusion in the next end user release of JETCAM Expert v16.
