HIGH-SPEED COMPACT BALL SCREW SBK

THK America, Inc. introduces the SBK Ball Screw, which achieves high-speed feed rates 2.2 times faster than conventional ball screws. A recirculation structure where balls are picked up in the tangential direction and the lead-angle direction by end caps makes the SBK suitable for high-speed operation at a DN value of 130,000.

The incorporation of THK Caged Technology further enhances the performance of the SBK. THK Caged Technology employs a synthetic resin cage with a patented curvature that cradles each ball and separates it from the next one. The spaces between the rolling elements retain grease and act as a lubrication system for long-term maintenance-free operation. Smooth motion is achieved with the SBK, as the separation of balls eliminates friction and minimizes torque fluctuation. The use of Caged Technology also prevents collision noise between balls. Noise levels are further decreased due to the recirculation structure of the SBK. The SBK is available in models with screw shaft outer diameters ranging from 15 mm ? 32 mm, and nut diameters from 38 mm ? 58 mm.
