Thermal Dynamics announces the addition of the PAK 200 to its product line. Designed to meet the most demanding of manual plasma cutting applications, the PAK 200 provides 200 amps of cutting and gouging power in a manual system. When compared to conventional air carbon arc gouging, plasma arc gouging with the PAK 200 offers superior removal rates and clear visibility of the gouging area. Other features of the PAK 200 include:
- • 100 percent duty cycle at 200 amps
- • Maximum cut capacity of 2¾ in on mild steel
- • Liquid-cooled torch for significantly longer parts life
- • Dual-gas capability for superior cut quality and control
- • Tip Saver- ensures accidental contact between tip and work at high power levels won’t damage tip
- • High gouging removal rate- allows for the removal of up to 25 lb of carbon steel per hour
Plasma Arc gauging is fast, economical, and environmentally friendly method of removing just about any metal including carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, brass and bronze. Applications can include:
- • Railroad car repair
- • Joint preparation at chemical plants and refineries
- • Over the road vehicle/tanker repair
