Valenite LLC announces the expansion of its VaICOOL@ lineup of cutting and grinding fluids, cleaners, specialty fluids, additives and accessories with the addition of six new product offerings. The fluids, including a semi-synthetic and a full synthetic cutting fluid, a new cleaning agent, one special-purpose solution, and two coolant additives allow users to more closely focus the coolant formulations and performance characteristics to specific application challenges.

With Valenite's synergistic tooling systems, insert and coolant developments, the new fluids are formulated to keep pace with advancements in ferrous and non-ferrous materials
and alloys, with tooling grades and coatings, and to optimize high speed machining systems. The fluids are designed to help stabilize workpiece fluctuations and surfaces under heavy cutting loads or high speeds, to lengthen tool life, and to protect machine components and
workholding elements-plus address environmental issues.

The first new product is VaICOOL VP800CF, a semi-synthetic formula that provides the lubricity of a soluble solution but with the cooling capabilities and stability of a full synthetic. VP800CF is a chlorine-free, synthetic polymer-based lubricant created for heavy duty metalworking applications. This coolant package provides increased tool life and typically enhanced surface finishes while meeting specific regulatory guidelines.

VaICOOL VP915 is a full synthetic cutting fluid, also formulated chlorine-free, designed for general purpose, light-to-medium duty machining tasks. This synthetic is ideal for high speed applications, delivering excellent cooling properties as well as moderate
corrosion protection that helps protect machine components and part finishes.

The latest specialty fluid to join the lineup is VP-100RP, a solvent-free corrosion preventative applied undiluted directly to workpieces via spray, roll, brush or dip methods. The formula is non-staining to all metals-both ferrous and non-ferrous-and features water displacing properties along with a neutralizer for fingerprints and handling stains. The residual coating is thin, translucent and colorless with a subtle oil feel to the touch.

The two new additives include VaICOOL Additive ll and Mergal 174, both developed to improve existing coolant performance. Additive 17 is a highly concentrated lubricity enhancing fluid designed to work with VaICOOL cutting fluids when applied to the most extreme cutting conditions and the toughest workpiece materials…helping to prolong
tool life and minimize material build up on cutting edges. Mergal 174 is a broad spectrum biocide formulated to protect against bacterial degradation of water soluble-based fluids, inhibiting rancidity and promoting longer coolant usage.

The final new product-VAL-U-CLEAN@ K5-is a general puryose synthetic alkaline cleaning agent that's nitrite-free and formulated for tough cleaning jobs, including parts, individual machines and central systems. K5 is suitable for use in removing all fluid types, and contains a corrosion inhibitor to protect parts and machine components from rust during cleaning. It works well in decontaminating coolant delivery systems and removing insoluble soaps, even with hard water conditions.
