Single Source Technologies (Auburn Hills, MI) offers Quadworx, a new series of milling tools from Pokolm-Voha, designed for high feed milling. The series ranges in size from 14 mm to 52 mm, in face-mill and threaded shanks. Also included for this generation is Pokolm?s patented DuoPlug Modular system, which uses shrink fit technology to provide the highest concentricity and maximum rigidity.
This new generation of milling tools is able to provide high feed rates during roughing applications of steel, cast iron and tempered steels, as well as stainless steels and high temp alloys. Features for this series include adapted micro-geometries with polished rakes and four cutting edges, through-tool coolant to ensure the maximum process reliability, and incorporated insert seats to increase tooth stability, improving tool life and productivity.
Quadworx guarantees increased chip removal rates and consistently low cutting forces. The new features ensure stable, accurate, and long lasting tools.
