Red Bud Industries (Red Bud, IL) hosted a Coil Processing Seminar at the Wingate by Windham & Meridian Conference Center, West Chester, Ohio, on June 24, 2008. The 46 attendees learned about Blanking, Multi-Blanking, Leveling, Slitting, and New Processes (SCS® and EPS®) for hot roll black material, along with how to apply new technology, improve tolerances, produce optimum flatness in material, and maximize overall efficiency.
Featured speakers included Dean Linders, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Red Bud Industries; Eric Theis, formerly of Herr-Voss and now a consultant to the metals processing industry and considered an expert in leveling theory; Al Zelt, one of the leading experts in slitting technology; and Kevin Voges, President of The Material Works and inventor of the SCS and EPS processes.
The seminar was followed by a tour of United Performance Metals in Hamilton, Ohio, where the attendees were able to see a Red Bud Precision Blanking Line in operation.
