Balluff offers its upgraded BOD 63M Time-of-Flight laser sensor. This photoelectric sensor has been completely revamped with a shorter 200 mm dead zone, a second discrete output, and enhanced resolution of less than 1 mm. The BOD 63M still features a sensing range of 6 m, suitable for many long range applications such as steel ingot measurement, precise material movement and hopper level detection.
The BOD 63M is able to sense minute variations in targets up to almost 20 feet away. Customers have reported successfully using its two independently adjustable setpoints to create an ON-OFF window, which makes the BOD 63M very useful in applications such as roll diameter detection, where the outputs are set to alert operators to change the roll. The high-precision Class II laser translates into outstanding accuracy, and the true analog output signal satisfies the demand for errorless measurement in complex applications. Balluff's BOD 63M is suitable for a range of tasks such as error proofing in assembly, packaging, printing, metal processing, anywhere specific positioning or accurate long range measurement is needed. www.balluff.com
