Trumpf (Farmington, CN) offers the new TruFiber 300 single mode fiber laser. The TruFiber 300 has a laser power of 300 watts and is ideal for precision cutting and welding. The TruFiber 300 achieves a beam quality of M2 < 1.1, supplementing TRUMPF?s spectrum of pulsed lasers and cw lasers in the power range of less than 1 kW.
Even with the most detailed cutting, the TruFiber 300 has almost no limits generating a high quality cutting kerf typically between 20 and
70 micrometers. Application examples include thin sheets, stencils,
stents and even cell phone casings. Precision welding applications
such as welding fuel cells, membranes, sensors, airbag igniters and
battery housings ? are easily performed with the TruFiber 300 with a
welding depth of up to 0.08 in. It is also well-suited for scanner
welding and wherever the application requires especially narrow
welding seams.
With proven TRUMPF quality, the TruFiber 300 performs reliably
and is ideal for industrial purposes. The separate layout of laser
module and supply unit facilitates easy integration into any system.
More than 20 meters can separate the supply unit and the laser
module which makes set-up flexible. Up to three laser modules can
be connected to one supply unit, resulting in cost-effective work with
single mode beam quality on several workstations.
