The Indalex Inc.
(Lincolnshire, IL) aluminum extrusion facility at City of Industry, CA has been awarded a Certificate of Recognition and has been named a Good Corporate Citizen by the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County.
Indalex received the recognition award for being consistent in its compliance with all industrial wastewater discharge requirements during 2007. The company's City of Industry plant met its limits for wastewater discharge, was free from any notices of violation, maintained environmental equipment and fulfilled all permit requirements.
The Certificate of Recognition program, now in its twelfth year, was created by the Industry Advisory Council of the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County to encourage environmental compliance. The Sanitation Districts are a partnership of independent special districts serving more than five million people in 78 cities and the unincorporated territory within Los Angeles County.
?Sustainability is a major issue for all companies in the aluminum extrusion industry and an important focus for Indalex. This Certificate of Recognition is a good example that our efforts are being recognized and is a tribute to our team at the City of Industry facility and our Environmental, Health and Safety professionals at all of our North American operations," said Tim Stubbs, President and Chief Executive Officer, Indalex Holdings, Inc.
