Mech-Tronics (Melrose Park, IL) is celebrating their 60th year. The privately held corporation was founded in 1948 by Sam and Eugene DeMuro. Steady growth led to factories in Illinois, Arizona, and Mexico. Mech-Tronics was recently awarded supplier of the year recognition by Rockwell Collins and has been named preferred supplier by numerous aerospace companies such as Hamilton-Sundstrand, Honeywell and Raytheon.
The company specializes in precision fabrication and build to print aluminum chassis and enclosures. Their turn-key facilities offer complete services including Aluminum Dip Brazing, Photo Etching, Welding, Paint, Silk Screen, Chemical Conversion and Hardware Installation. They are supporting major aerospace customer requirements for Kan-Ban, Consignment and Lean initiatives and are certified to AS9100B:2004 and ISO 9001:2000 without design.
