The 20th International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition, EuroBLECH 2008, (Hanover, Germany) ended with record numbers in visitors, exhibitors and floor space. 1520 exhibitors from 38 countries presented all aspects of sheet metal manufacturing and working. Over five days, a total of 69,400 visitors were able to discover a wide range of innovations and cutting edge technology and gain firsthand information from the enormous amount of live machine demonstration on display.

?An increase of 8 percent in exhibitor and visitor numbers is of course a very positive result,? said Nicola Hamann, Exhibition Director EuroBLECH, on behalf of the organizers, Mack Brooks Exhibitions. ?We are particularly delighted to be able to say that there was lively trading activity throughout the eight exhibition halls, even though the current economic situation is uncertain. A large number of exhibitors were able to report buoyant sales figures. Exhibiting companies participated in the show primarily in order to expand their business activities on an international level,? explains Nicola Hamann.

Traditionally, EuroBLECH has a very high percentage of foreign exhibitors and visitors, and this year was no exception: 44.5 percent of exhibitors and 35.5 percent of visitors came from outside Germany. The EU member states as well as Switzerland were the most prevalent countries, but there was also an above average increase in visitors from Turkey and the Americas this year.

In surveys, the show received excellent evaluations from both visitors and exhibitors from inside and outside Germany. Participants were very satisfied, particularly with the comprehensive range of products offered and with the international flavor of the show. 76 percent of exhibitors intend to exhibit again at the next show. EuroBLECH 2010 will take place from 26 ? 30 October 2010, in Hanover, Germany.
