Emuge Corp. (West Boylston, MA) has announced that they, along with Hermle Machine Co., Open Mind Technologies USA, and M&H Probing Systems will jointly host a complimentary one-day intensive machining seminar on June 9th, 2009 revealing new ways to significantly boost productivity and savings in a down economy. The event will take place at Emuge?s Technology Center in West Boylston, MA.

Attendees will witness firsthand how integrating the industry?s leading machining centers, end mills, threading tools, software, and probing systems when applied with the latest techniques, can produce unprecedented gains in high productivity machining, while reducing costs and improving product quality.

The seminar will include live machining of challenging hard material components on a Hermle C 30 U 5-axis machining center along with classroom time and technical presentations. The seminar will highlight four different machining applications including milling, thread milling, and tapping in a highly automated machine and hyperMILL® Software platform. This integrated approach produces significantly faster machining, reduced cycle times, increased control and greater surface finishes and accuracies. On-machine spindle probing inspection will also demonstrate how users can save time, ensure accuracy, and reduce scrap. Attendees will see
the setting up of components, programming demonstrations, machining and inspection, and also learn about advanced practices such as ?zero stock machining?, ?rest machining,? and more.

Representatives from the four companies issued a joint statement saying, ?This event is a must-see for manufacturing professionals who are faced with pressures to increase product quality/throughput and tighten their manufacturing processes while reducing overhead and costs in an extremely competitive, difficult economy.?

Technical representatives from each company will be in attendance to answer any questions about products, technology and processes and how they interact to produce predictable and more efficient manufacturing cycles. CNC machinists, CNC programmers, Manufacturing Engineers and Operations personnel are encouraged to attend the event.

The seminar is open to manufacturing professionals free of charge, and will begin at 9:00 am with light refreshments. Lunch will also be served and a prize raffle will be held at the close of the event at 3:00 pm. Early registration is recommended.
