Rego-Fix (Indianapolis, IN) has partnered with Exsys Tool, Inc., a Florida-based distributor of high precision rotary and fixed toolholders for the turning industry, to expand its reach into the high precision milling market in Mexico.
"After establishing operations in Mexico in 2006, we noticed a strong demand for mill tooling that warranted the addition of taper tooling to our product inventory," said Stewart Bachman, President of Exsys Tool, Inc. "We selected Rego-Fix because of its reputation as the world leader in Swiss quality precision tooling, as well as the impact that its revolutionary powRgrip® collet system could have on the market."
powRgrip utilizes a toolholder and collet to generate very high clamping forces equal to or higher than shrink-fit holders. Exsys Tool introduced the system at TECMA 2009, and received an overwhelming response from large manufacturers like Volkswagen and Mitituyo.
