Toyoda Machinery USA (Wixom, MI) is now stocking repaired autosizers to reduce customer downtime and associated costs. Autosizers are vital gauges that communicate dimensional information to a machine tool?s CNC and, as such, are subject to wear and deterioration.

The Toyoda program works as follows:

1. Customer contacts the Repairs Dept. at Toyoda for a Repair Number and specifies gauge.

2. Toyoda will confirm if the gauge is in stock or the soonest date a repaired Toyoda gauge will be available, if not immediately.

3. Customer sends the broken gauge to Toyoda with Repair Number and purchase order.

4. Once broken gauge is received, a repaired gauge will be sent to customer. The original serial number will be referenced on the packing slip so records can be updated upon receivig the repaired gauge.

All repaired gauges are tested and calibrated by Toyoda. In addition, Toyoda offers a 90-day warranty from the date the items are shipped back to the customer, given that the components have not been subjected to abuse, misuse, accident, alteration, neglect, or unauthorized in-field repair or tampering.

?Given the ongoing tight economic conditions for manufacturing, we hope all Toyoda customers take advantage of this program to keep downtime to an absolute minimum,? says Jim Kletzien, Vice President & General Manager of Toyoda Machinery USA?s Automotive Product Division.
