Haimer USA (Villa Park, IL) is offering its customers a free Zero Master digital 3D sensor with the purchase of 15 ER collet chucks through the end of the year. Haimer's Zero Master digital 3D sensor enables accurate and easy measurements and identifies the X,Y, and Z dimensions of a workpiece. The Zero Master has a 0.2000 in ball that is off-set 0.1000 in on the digital read-out. The workpiece can be approached from any of three directions (X, Y, or Z) and once the gage reaches 0, the machine is resting directly over the edge of the workpiece. No calculations are needed ? the digital readout the machining center or EDM machine gives the operator the true location.
In addition to finding the zero point, the Haimer Zero Master allows easy measurement of other workpiece dimensions including surface flatness, orientation fo the machine tool spindle and the ability to efficiently tram in the workpiece or fixure on the machine.
Haimer ER Collet Chucks are all pre-balanced to G2.5 @ 22,000 rpm and come standard with a pre-balanced ER nut that contains a special slide coating to prevent friction when tightening the cutting tool in the collet.
