Lincoln Electric encourages customers to share projects through its e-newsletter, which also provides updates on the hottest Lincoln products, special offerings and newsworthy events

Posted: September 30, 2010

Lincoln Electric is connecting its key audience members by encouraging them to share their welding projects through a section of Lincoln?s free monthly iWeld e-newsletter entitled ?How I Did It.? Customers submit stories and photos of their welding projects, allowing others to see and learn from their successes.

A recent ?How I Did It? section features William Fischer?s New Glory Flag Bike, which carries 50 U.S. flags, including ten that are 15 sq ft in size. The motorcycle?s framework is MIG-welded steel conduit with metal slugs inside the conduit for support. ?I really like the iWeld newsletter and look forward to the projects and new products,? Fischer writes.

The iWeld e-newsletter allows Lincoln Electric to reach out directly to its target audience, and along with customers? project successes, the electronic newsletter provides updates on the hottest Lincoln products, special offerings and newsworthy events. Consumers who register to receive the e-newsletter are kept up to date on the latest welding technology advancements and will find insight on how others are using Lincoln Electric equipment and consumables.

In addition to featuring the ?How I Did It? projects in iWeld, Lincoln Electric has sparked the interest of its social media followers by posting recent projects on Twitter and Facebook, including frequent special weekend welding projects.
