The CTV 160 vertical lathe from DMG/Mori Seiki (Chicago, IL) features a DMG ERGOline control with a 19 in screen and Siemens ShopTurn (optional) for fast and simple program generation with 3D simulation. All X-, Y- (optional), Z- and C-axes are arranged at the top, allowing the realization of a long Y-axis (± 3.5 in for eccentric boring and milling applications.
A large Z-axis stroke allows machining with low retooling requirements for short and long workpieces, workpiece heights from 0.20 to 8.3 in and diameters up to 6.3/8.7 in. Automation in the standard version is simple and flexible, with up to 48 pockets with easy height adjustment for various workpiece lengths plus automatic workpiece centering.
The CTV 160 guideway has excellent rigidity and optimal size for heavy utilization in everyday production, along with optimal accessibility from its wide and high door with large
viewing window.
