A line of mounted points that are ideally suited for blending and polishing machine and mold marks from medical prostheses and other critical parts is available from Rex-Cut Products, Inc. (Fall River, MA).
Megabrite mounted points are made from a non-woven synthetic fiber material that is compressed, bonded and impregnated with abrasives. Soft and resilient, they provide smooth, chatter-free operation, will not change a part's geometry, and are ideally suited for blending and polishing critical parts made from stainless steel, titanium, and exotic alloys.
Megabrite mounted points conform well to holes, contours, radii and edges. Capable of easily being dressed and formed, they are also offered in a hard density for light deburring, cleaning, and blending applications.
