No. 881 is a 250 deg F electric shelf oven from The Grieve Corporation (Round Lake, IL), currently in use drying water from medical equipment. Workspace dimensions of this unit measure 68 in W x 30 in D x 66 in H. 12 kW installed in Nichrome wire elements heat the workspace, while a 1000 cfm, 1 hp recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the workload.
This shelf oven features an aluminized steel exterior, a Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, a disposable fresh air filter, a 20 in W x 60 in H double-pane Lexan window in each door and an interior oven light with two 40 W 48 in long fluorescent bulbs to shine through the Lexan windows in the workspace ceiling. No. 881 also includes a 325 cfm-powered forced exhauster, a digital indicating temperature controller, a manual reset excess temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch.
