These marking tools eliminate the added expense and long lead time that distributors and end-users experience when certifying and financing their own batch of marking tools for jobs such as military and nuclear applications.

Professional metalworkers, fabricators and welders demand versatility in their marking tools and require that they work on practically all types of metal and coated metal surfaces, including carbon and stainless steels, aluminum, powder coating to PVC plastics and epoxies. Family owned and operated LA-CO Industries Inc. (Elk Grove Village, IL), a diversified manufacturer of the Markal brand, continues to enhance and adapt to the changing demands and needs of the welding and fabricating industry by introducing Certified Valve Action Paint Markers to their family of independently analyzed and certified markers.

Ideal, but not limited to, for use on applications that generate nuclear power, such as power plant facilities and shipbuilding, these Certified Valve Action Paint Markers are equipped with the same innovative features as the existing line of Valve Action Paint Markers, but have gone through extensive, independent analysis for certification to meet MIL-STD–2041D, EDF PMUC, US DOE RDT F-7-3T (expired) and Navy C3070 specifications.

This line of marking tools eliminates the added expense and long lead time that distributors and end-users experience when certifying and financing their own batch of marking tools for jobs that require the use of certified products, such as military and nuclear applications. Engineered to provide safe and durable use on stainless steel, Certified Valve Action Paint markers meet the following specifications: less than 200 ppm total halogens, less than 250 ppm each low melting point metals, less than 300 ppm total low metal point metals and less than 200 ppm sulfur.

Each marker can be identified by batch code at any time by easily accessing the individual batch analysis and certification documents online at www.markal.com, then referencing the batch code imprinted on every certified marker. This line of faster drying, xylene free valve action paint markers reduces smears so that users can handle marked items almost immediately, increasing efficiency on a wide variety of tough, industry applications such as parts identification, quality control marking, layout and cut lines and color coding. Plus, with a more durable 1/8 in thick nib, these valve action markers can mark on rougher surfaces than conventional nibs, creating both fine-line and bold, thick marks that remain visible from long distances.

For seven decades LA-CO has manufactured more than 2,000 products for the plumbing, HVAC, industrial, agricultural, lumber, welding and other industries that are sold around the world through a network of 6,500 distributors in the U.S. and more than 50 countries globally.
