These productive, energy efficient press brakes operate with low noise levels, no hydraulic oil, high accuracy and repeatability, no crowning needed, fast cycle-times and low maintenance costs.

COMEQ, Inc. (White Marsh, MD) announces their partnership with Safan b.v. (Lochem, the Netherlands) for sales, service, parts supply and distribution of the Safan line of sheet metal and steel fabricating machinery in the U.S. Safan, a long time manufacturer of hydraulic press brakes and hybrid shearing machines, was the first to develop “servo electric” press brakes in 1995. Many of the Safan E-Brake servo electric press brakes have been sold under the Finn-Power brand name throughout North America.

Utilizing green technology, the Safan E-Brake servo electric press brakes are the most productive and energy efficient in the world. The Safan E-Brake has a very wide capacity range and is available in sizes from 33 in x 22 tons to 13 ft x 330 tons. Benefits of the E-Brake series include up to 50 percent less energy consumption, low noise levels, no hydraulic oil, high accuracy and repeatability, no crowning needed, fastest cycle-times and low maintenance costs.

The “man-machine interface” of the Safan E-control maximizes production times and includes the setup of the guarding system. Safan E-Brake servo electric press brakes are currently in operation in some of the largest and highest production facilities throughout the world. Through a combination of stroke speed, stroke positioning and back gauge speed, Safan servo electric press brakes minimize the time it takes to produce a finished part.

Safeguarding, part programming, tool change and the unique man-machine interface with the Safan touch screen E-control will increase part production by 30 percent or more in most cases. Operators actually look forward to using their Safan machines due to these unique characteristics. Larger sizes of energy efficient hydraulic press brakes are available from Safan and feature many of the same outstanding features found on the servo electric E-Brake.

COMEQ will provide service and parts for all Safan servo-electric press brakes previously delivered in the U.S. and will be able to perform demonstrations in their 5,000 sq ft showroom located within the sales and service facility located in White Marsh. COMEQ also distributes Geka ironworkers and automated punching systems; Parmigiani angle and plate bending rolls; Americor plate bending rolls and Primeline press brakes and shears.
