Centerfire and Heavy-Duty Centerfire series MIG welding consumables from Bernard Welding Equipment (Beecher, IL) provide unparalleled durability, shielding gas coverage and contact tip longevity, resulting in reduced downtime and superior welding performance.

The Centerfire and Heavy-Duty Centerfire feature threadless contact tips that are precision machined to seat within the gas diffuser and lock in place by tightening the nozzle. These “drop in” contact tips do not require tools to change, are quicker to replace after burn back and can be rotated to expose new wear surfaces for maximum product life. Several nozzle lengths are available to provide different fixed contact tip recesses to accommodate a wide variety of applications and provide consistent performance between operators. Their large diameter tip bases and tapered seats increase electrical conductivity and heat transfer.

Hand tightened nozzles come with built in spatter shields that protect the gas diffusers and facilitate smoother, less turbulent gas flow. The solid, concentric relationship between Centerfire contact tips and nozzles keep the tips centered and fixed at desired recess even after hard use or abuse.

Designed for very high-heat applications, Heavy-Duty Centerfire consumables feature a removable nozzle cone – usually the first part of the consumables to degrade in high heat applications – to reduce consumables costs and inventory footprint. The Heavy-Duty Centerfire series also features thicker nozzle walls and a special heat-resistant nozzle insulator, both designed to better withstand the punishing demands of heavy-duty applications.

Heavy-Duty Centerfire consumables are compatible with standard Centerfire series contact tips and diffusers, allowing companies to further reduce consumables inventory while still meeting the demands of a wide range of applications. www.bernardwelds.com
