These single-spindle, multi-spindle and tilting, dual-axis rotary tables increase Bridgeport VMC capabilities, with rapid part positioning and fast job changeover using the most flexible, quick-change workholding concept on the market.

Hardinge, Inc. (Elmira, NY) provides a brochure for matching their rotary tables to a Bridgeport vertical machining center operated with a Fanuc control. These rotary products supply the tools to increase machine capability with rapid part positioning and fast job changeover using the most flexible, quick-change workholding concept on the market.

These rotary tables incorporate an A2-4, A2-5 or 5C threaded-nose collet-ready spindle that will accept collets, expanding collets and step chucks (as well as the traditional faceplate) to expand part-gripping capabilities and improve part accuracies. Compatible rotary table packages, using a single part number, are listed for select Bridgeport machines for simplified Plug-n-Perform 4th-axis configurations. The rotary packages include the Fanuc drive kit, motor and cables to connect via 4th-axis to a new, pre-wired Bridgeport vertical machining center with a Fanuc control.

The new Bridgeport VMC must be prewired to accept the rotary package. For existing machines in the field, contact the Hardinge Rotary Group at 800-843-8801 to establish what, if any, additional components may be required. Rotary systems can also be operated using just the Hardinge servo control if true 4th-axis is not required.

There is a large selection of rotary products here for all ranges of production. Choose from precision or Super Precision® positioning. Single-spindle, multi-spindle and tilting, dual-axis configurations are available, depending on the table size of the Bridgeport machining center. Bridgeport manufactures a full line of vertical machining centers to meet a broad spectrum of performance, capability and budget requirements. Together Hardinge and Bridgeport provide a reliable, versatile and flexible package to take on multiple machining applications. In many situations, rotary tables can share the machine table with a vise to allow maximum job flexibility.
