Featuring multiple options for the cable, handle, trigger, neck and consumables, these air-cooled and water-cooled guns can be customized to nearly any MIG welding application to maximize productivity and reduce costs.

Setting the standard in MIG welding productivity and reduced operator fatigue and downtime, the Q-Gun and S-Gun lines of MIG guns from Bernard Welding Equipment (Beecher, IL) offer exceptional durability and application versatility. Featuring multiple options for the cable, handle, trigger, neck and consumables, these guns can be customized to nearly any MIG welding application.

With interchangeable handles, triggers, necks and consumables, the Q-Gun and S-Gun are distinguished by their lead cables. The Q-Gun features a lightweight, flexible standard cable and the S-Gun uses a heavy-duty “monocoil” cable designed to withstand the harsh abuse of heavy industrial applications. Once users select their desired cable, they can then mix and match the remaining components to their specific needs.

The choice between multiple handle options provides operators with the ability to select the handle that meets their personal comfort preference, while additional trigger and switch options allow the user to select between a locking trigger, dual pull trigger, dual schedule switch and dual schedule switch with locking trigger. Q-Guns and S-Guns are available with fixed or rotating aluminum armored necks. Both models come with Jump Liners, which allow operators to replace only the most frequently worn part of a liner, reducing replacement downtime and cost by 65 percent.

To increase product durability and performance, Q-Guns and S-Guns feature a durable strain relief that helps extend product life and an upgraded back end assembly, which allows for easier changeover of direct plugs and for the use of trigger cable adapters or “pigtails.”

Q-Guns and S-Guns come in 150 amp, 200 amp, 300 amp, 400 amp, 500 amp and 600 amp air-cooled models and are available with direct plugs for all major brands and types of wire feeders, allowing fabricators to standardize their welding guns and consumables without incurring any corresponding wire feeder or power source costs.

The online Configurator ordering system allows easy and precise configuration of a MIG gun 24 hours a day. The system guides the visitor through a step-by-step gun customization process, allowing the customer to select from a variety of gun options in each step of the process.

Bernard also offers customizable W-series water-cooled MIG guns and new water-cooled Centerfire consumables to meet the wide ranging needs of high-amperage, water-cooled MIG applications. Featuring exceptional durability and hundreds of possible configurations, W-Guns offer users their choice of neck style, cable length, handle style, consumables and direct plugs.

W-Guns feature a more durable and easily replaced power pin housing with an improved coolant hose strain relief. The dedicated side-entry coolant channel and strain relief greatly reduce the potential for premature gun failure due to kinked coolant lines. Plus, a highly efficient coolant channel keeps the consumables cool under high-amperage, high-heat applications.

W-Guns are rated to 600 amps at 100 percent duty cycle and offer direct plug connections to all major wire feeder brands, including those with Miller, Lincoln, Tweco 4 and Euro-style connections.

Bernard’s water-cooled Centerfire consumables offer all of the durability, weld quality and productivity benefits of their air-cooled counterparts. Water-cooled Centerfire consumables come with either a 1/8 in or ¼ in contact tip recess and feature a unique spatter shield that improves shielding gas flow to better protect the weld puddle and keeps spatter from clogging the shielding gas diffuser. www.bernardwelds.com
