For the past 45 years, Scotchman Industries has manufactured the Scotchman Hydraulic Ironworker, a machine that revolutionized the process of cutting, bending and punching holes in steel, at its Philip, SD, manufacturing facility.

Today Scotchman offers 13 different hydraulic ironworkers from 45 to 150 tons in three distinctive styles:
1) Component Tool Table design (allows the operator to use different tools including punch, angle shear, channel shear, solid round and square rod shear, flat bar shear, rectangle notcher, 90 deg V notcher, press brake, pipe notcher, tube shear.
2) Fully Integrated Ironworkers with five built-in tools consisting of a punch, angle shear, flat bar shear, round & square rod shear and a rectangle notcher, and
3) Dual Operator Machines where two operators work simultaneously without loss of speed or pressure.
In 1983, Scotchman incorporated Circular Cold Saws, including pivot and column designs for ferrous and nonferrous applications, manual to fully automatic, with a complete selection of blades and a blade sharpening service. In November, Scotchman became the North American importer of ALMI Pipe Notchers. Scotchman Pipe Notchers are top quality, economical and great for high production. Scotchman offers three styles: Manual, Electric, and Abrasive Notcher/Grinders.
