TRUMPF Inc. (TRUMPF) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the TRUMPF Group. Located in Ditzingen, near Stuttgart, Germany, the TRUMPF Group is one of the world’s leading companies in production technology and offers advanced technologies for sheet metal fabrication, as well as for state-of-theart industrial lasers, medical technology and innovative electronics.
TRUMPF’s North American headquarters are located in Farmington, Connecticut and are dedicated to serving the manufacturing needs of the American, Canadian and Mexican markets. TRUMPF is currently the largest manufacturer of fabricating equipment and industrial lasers in North America. In addition to its Farmington headquarters, additional locations are in Michigan, New Jersey, Mexico, California, and Canada.
TRUMPF Inc. includes the Farmington, Connecticut location and the Laser Technology Center in Plymouth, Michigan. In North America, TRUMPF designs and produces precision punching machinery, highly-accurate laser machinery, gas and solid-state laser resonators, and laser diodes. The laser factory in Connecticut is one of the largest ND: YAG and CO2 laser manufacturing facilities in the United States.
TRUMPF Inc. was founded as TRUMPF America Inc. in 1969. The company currently employs a staff of about 558, which includes 87 degreed engineers. TRUMPF Inc. is an independent, privately-held company. More than 392,000 sq ft of facilities make up the Farmington, Connecticut headquarters. This includes lean manufacturing and state-of-the-art production (including clean rooms for the manufacture of laser diodes, as well as for CO2 and ND: YAG laser resonators), research and development laboratories, a training center for technical seminars for customers, a service center equipped with remote telediagnostic capabilities, and a customer and technology center for consultations and demonstrations.
