To accommodate its recent expansion and projected growth, the company hired a new director of operations and added a Western region sales manager to its growing sales team.
Magnetic Products, Inc. (MPI; Highland, MI), a worldwide provider of both magnetic and nonmagnetic material handling solutions, recently announced it has hired John Nathan as director of operations to accommodate the company’s recent expansion and projected growth.
Nathan brings over 20 years of leadership experience with several manufacturers where he developed new products and implemented efficiency and quality initiatives that allowed each firm to capitalize on growth opportunities. In his new role, he will be responsible for all aspects of facility operation, customer service, research and development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and purchasing processes.
“John joins us at an exciting point in our history,” said Keith Rhodes, the president of MPI. “Our rapid and continual growth necessitates implementation of advanced manufacturing procedures and additional quality initiatives. John’s expertise in quality improvement and inventory reduction coupled with his focus on new product development will ensure that MPI meets its business objectives. John will play a key role in the company’s future.”
Most recently, Nathan was director of engineering and technical sales at Lear Corporation, a global supplier of automotive seating and electrical power management systems, where he was responsible for product development, new business and sales, quality initiatives and proposal creation. “I am very excited to join the MPI team,” stated Nathan. “I look forward to helping take the company to its next stage of success.”
MPI also added Bob Wolf to its growing sales team as the Western region sales manager. Wolf brings over 20 years of industrial sales experience with a number of manufacturing companies where he grew accounts, provided technical support and managed sales representatives. In his new role, he will have sales responsibility for the entire product line throughout the Western U.S. and Canada.
“Today’s manufacturers are faced with a number of challenges,” said Jack Smylie, the director of sales and marketing. “Bob’s proven ability to quickly grasp the complexity of our customers’ issues, whether an industrial or magnetic separation application, will help us to provide the best solution.”
“I’m excited to be joining the MPI team,” added Wolf. “I look forward to building strong relationships with our customers and sales channel partners.”
