This Membrane and Overlay Removal Head uses proprietary long-life inserts shaped like golf tees, rather than screws, to remove boiler tube membrane and overlay plus bevel all at the same time, with minimum vibration and reduced heat.
In Booth C-5735 a new patented membrane and overlay removal head that features a long-life cutting edge design and fits several of their MILLHOG® beveling end prep tools will be introduced by ESCO Tool Company (Holliston, MA). The Membrane and Overlay Removal Head features proprietary inserts shaped like golf tees, rather than screws, that can be easily rotated to utilize their 360 deg cutting edge. Capable of removing boiler tube membrane and overlay plus beveling simultaneously, the head is available to fit MILLHOG® end prep tools covering a tube range from 7/8 in to 3 in OD.
As the Membrane and Overlay Removal Head rotates, the holding forces of the inserts are multiplied which minimizes vibration, reduced heat, and promotes long-life. Simple to use, the golf tee-shaped inserts tap into place and are removed the same way. The head also holds a beveling blade. The Membrane and Overlay Removal Head is priced from $325.00, depending upon which MILLHOG® tool it fits. It can be purchased with a new tool or retrofit. www.escotool.com
