This CNC bender creates an extremely efficient process that is capable of producing accurate, repetitive bends that reduce material waste and save valuable production time.

When rolling complex bend profiles, the old tried and true method of “tweak and repeat” is effective, but unfortunately this trial-and-error technique results in some testing waste. Each time the bender is reset to roll a different profile, the entire process must be repeated in its entirety, thus producing more testing waste.

A CNC bender, on the other hand, can be closely pre-programmed for each profile and then easily fine-tuned with minimal adjustments. The completed program sequence, stored for later recall, creates an extremely efficient process that is capable of producing accurate, repetitive bends that reduce material waste and save valuable production time.

One example of this technology is the three-roll EAGLE-BPR BA50 CNC bending machine from Eagle Bending Machines Inc. (Stapleton, AL) that is driven by an advanced but easy to program computer numerical control system, complete with hydraulic actuated forming roll, variable speed rotation, variable speed forming roll travel and a built-in industrial PC with 3.5 in floppy drive.

This unit is ideal for creating variable radii shapes, spirals, ovals, production bends, polycentric forms, etc. using most any material type and profile cross section quickly and efficiently with minimum waste of material. Its servo-controlled leading edge technology results in the highest precision CNC machine available. These BA machine controls run Windows-based Direct Radius program features.
