HACO-ATLANTIC, Inc.

An overview of the company and its organization, products, services and capabilities.

We are the industry specialists in those sectors. In 1965, Rogier Havegeer and Roger De Marez started their own company, producing hydraulic components and providing maintenance and repair services. It was the initial seed from which the worldwide HACO Group NV and its related companies have grown.

From 1965 to 1972, the business grew steadily, evolving from a Flemish family-owned, locally anchored business into an international organization. During this time, HACO developed a sheet metal guillotine shear and took its first steps as a machine builder, important steps toward diversification and specialization.

Between 1972 and 1985, HACO continued its move into machine building, specializing in a few carefully selected types of machines, and focused on internationalization and expansion of capacity. We also founded ROBOSOFT for developing and manufacturing hardware and software for CNC controls. This marked the creation of the Group’s second pillar, electronics, standing alongside machine building.

Then, in 1986, HACO took over BRET in France. This specialist in mechanical and die forging presses opened a new path for HACO in the automobile industry, production of consumer goods, and a huge
variety of other opportunities.

In 1987, HACO took over SCMB BLISS in France. This completed our full press offering with the addition of hydraulic presses. From this point on, HACO had a solution for all your press requirements.

Next, in 1991, HACO acquired Kingsland. This acquisition added hydraulic multi-purpose steel working machines to HACO’s offering. HACO machines could now be found in virtually every workshop.

In 1993, HACO added OMES Italy to the Group, introducing CNC punching machines to our offering. Short production times and enormous flexibility were the trademarks of these machines.

In 1996, acquisition of MUBEA SYSTEMS completed our offering of multi-purpose steel working machines, and customer designed drilling, punching and cutting lines.

Now, here we are in the 21st century. In 2000, HACO took over LSP Slovakia, enlarging our offering of press brakes and shears, and expanding the Eastern European presence of our company. Two new branch offices in Australia were set up to strengthen sales and service in the Australian and New Zealand markets. In 2003, a new branch office in Ningbo China was set up to strenghten Far East customer relations.

Enjoy discovering what the complete line of HACO products and services can do for you and how it will improve your company’s productivity and quality.
