Reshamca and O. Keller Tool Provide Tooling/Fixtures for New GM Transmission

This partnership provided assembly fixtures and tooling for the new GM X44f transmission being manufactured by Shanghai Gear in China.

Global sales and marketing company Reshamca LLC (Commerce, MI) continues to facilitate successful tooling and manufacturing programs in China. Most recently, they teamed up with O. Keller Tool Engineering Company (Livonia, MI) to provide a complete assembly fixture and tooling program for the new GM X44F 7-speed dual-clutch transmission program that is being assembled at Shanghai Gear in Chongqing, China.

Reshamca worked closely with the China Trading Company to establish a long term contract for O. Keller Tool to provide the initial 40-tool program. Rex Smith, the president of Reshamca, reports, “The tools were designed, developed and delivered within a seven-month window. Initial production of the transmission began in February/March 2013.”
