ESAB Wins Award for Sales and Customer Service, Launches New Blog

The manufacturer of welding equipment was recognized as the “Sales Turnaround of the Year” from more than 1,200 entries from organizations in various industries around the globe.

ESAB Cutting Systems (Florence, SC) was awarded the 2013 Gold Stevie Award for Sales and Customer Service. The manufacturer of welding equipment was recognized as the “Sales Turnaround of the Year” from more than 1,200 entries from organizations in various industries around the globe.

 

 

The year-long sales group turnaround was detailed in “ESAB Cutting is Equal to More than the Sum of its Parts.” The company’s sales group used weekly team meetings to analyze what was producing results with customers.

This allowed the team to meet sales goals as a group that were not attainable for individual sales representatives. This strategy made the ESAB Cutting System sales team the fastest growing division in the company.

“We are very proud of what our sales team accomplished,” said Dave Maxham, the vice president of sales for the firm. “With a focus on best practices and team communication, we grew into a stronger and more effective sales organization.”

In related news, the company launched a blog for the CNC cutting community. The CNC Cutting Blog features a variety of posts on CNC cutting systems, plasma, oxyfuel, waterjet, and laser cutting processes, and related topics.

The blog is available for the public and will be of particular interest to users, customers, and students. Visitors will see posts related to CNC shape cutting systems and processes. They can post their own questions, which will be answered by the experts at ESAB Cutting Systems.
