COE Press Equipment Corporation (Sterling Heights, MI) recently announced that it has received an order for ten new coil processing lines from North American Stamping Group.
Seven of the systems are conventional coil feed lines for progressive stamping operations.
The new equipment will be installed at the company’s Portland, TN; Woodstock, Ontario; and Queretaro, Mexico facilities, which all produce stamped parts and welded assemblies for the automotive and other industries. The systems will be installed over a period of one year starting February 2013.
Three of the lines feature the company’s zig-zag servo feed capability, which allows parts to be fed in a staggered pattern for optimum material yield. All of the lines are either 36 in wide/40,000 lb coil capacity or 48 in wide/50,000 lb coil capacity.
“We are honored and excited to have a new customer place an order of this size with COE,” said the company’s general sales manager Jim Ward. “Our capability to develop robust coil processing equipment to meet each customer’s requirement, backed by our engineering service teams was a key part of winning this project.”
