Lincoln Electric Mexicana Earns TS-16949 Certification

Lincoln Electric (Cleveland, OH) has announced that the Torreon manufacturing operations of Lincoln Electric Mexicana S.A. de C.V. has earned ISO/TS-16949 certification, applicable to the design and manufacture of welding consumables.
In general, the technical specification applies to the design, development, production, and installation/servicing of automotive-related products. ISO/TS-16949 certification enables Lincoln Electric Mexicana to mesh its quality systems with those of its automotive customers and suppliers and further the company’s commitment to quality.
“This certification is extremely important to Lincoln Electric Mexicana. It allows our customers, especially in automotive manufacturing to have confidence in the quality and consistent manufacturing of our products,” says Pedro Inchaustegui, marketing manager of Lincoln Electric Mexicana.
The ISO/TS-16949 certification was issued through ABS Quality Evaluations.
