This first Colorado franchise distributor will serve unmet metalworking industry needs in the greater Denver area, with plans to open more franchises in the state.
Metal Supermarkets® (Mississauga, Ontario), the world’s largest supplier of small quantity metals, recently opened its first franchise store in Wheat Ridge, CO, the 63rd location in the franchise network.
Wheat Ridge residents Steve and Carolyn Senger will be providing area businesses and consumers with superior customer service and the highest quality metal products available at their Metal Supermarkets store. Customers can buy any size or type of metal they need, quickly and easily, and with no minimum order requirement.
“We are excited to introduce Metal Supermarkets to Colorado and look forward to working with the Sengers to further expand the Metal Supermarkets brand,” says Stephen Schober, the Metal Supermarkets president and chief executive officer. “With so much industry in the greater Denver area, the Wheat Ridge store is in a great position to thrive.”
As a mechanical engineer, Senger moved around the Midwest for job opportunities. He and his family wanted to settle down somewhere close to relatives where they could establish their own business and permanent home.
The Sengers were looking for a rock-solid, stable business that fills an unmet need in the marketplace. With a background in engineering and management, they believe the Metal Supermarkets system is a good fit for them.
“We really like Wheat Ridge and the store has a great location off I-70,” says Steve Senger. “There is a gap in distribution chain in metals industry. As an engineer, do-it-yourselfer and hobbyist, I’ve seen the need for Metal Supermarkets first-hand. I am excited to be leading the way in Colorado and meet the demand for cut-to-size metals.”
Currently, the Sengers employ two full-time staff members. If business goes as planned, they will be hiring another person by the end of the year. They also plan to open more franchises in Colorado.
