COE Press Equipment (Sterling Heights, MI) has announced that it has delivered and installed a new “Value Series” Cut-to-Length line for Frigoglass North America, located in Spartanburg, SC. Frigoglass is a leading provider of beverage coolers across the world. This new CTL allows Frigoglass the flexibility and speed to produce its own blanks in-house in response to current production demands. Additionally, this internal blanking capability reduces toll processing fees, streamlines processes, reduces scrap, and improves quality.
COE’s “Value Series” CTL systems are based on integrating shear and stacking solutions with COE’s standard coil processing equipment, resulting in a reliable CTL line at a value price. The Frigoglass solution is a 60 in wide x 20,000 lb CTL line with a Hydraulic Production Shear and Single Station Drop Stacker.
Specifically, the line consists of a 60 in wide Servo Roll Feed, 60 in x 10 ft Dual Threading Table, 3.00 in x 60 in Straightener w/5 in Pinch Rolls, 20,000 lb x 60 in Coil Reel, 60 in wide Hydraulic Production Shear, and a 60 in x 120 in Single Station Drop Stacker. The system can process pre-painted steel at a maximum thickness of .078 in at 60 in wide to 090 in at 48 in wide with a maximum stroke rate of 30 SPM and a linespeed rate of 120 FPM.
In addition to the equipment, which is backed by the COE Assurance 24/7/365 service advantage, Frigoglass also received six days of on-site installation assistance and training from the COE service staff.
