Hypertherm Announces Schedule of Training Events

Hypertherm announces one-day Advanced Productivity Training and ProNest Power User training events in Illinois and New Hampshire.

Posted: September 30, 2013

Hypertherm (Hanover, NH), a manufacturer of advanced cutting systems, today announced the addition of three new educational events to its live training schedule. The company’s cutting experts plan to present at two Chicago area training sessions in September and one session in New Hampshire this October. The Advanced Productivity Training events will show people how to improve their system performance, material usage, and consumable life.

The events, valued at $250, and offered by Hypertherm at no charge to people who cut metal and other industrial materials. It will feature Jim Colt, an avid fabricator and 35-year Hypertherm veteran, widely known for his expertise on all metal cutting topics. Jim will cover plasma and fiber laser cutting technology and describe notable advances that can help companies increase productivity and decrease operating costs.

In addition, he will review consumable care, show people how to properly inspect their plasma consumables, and offer tips aimed at helping companies increase consumable life. Jim estimates operators at many companies regularly replace half used consumables, needlessly costing their company money.

Dave Dumas, Hypertherm’s AccuStream waterjet cutting expert; Dan McLenithan, a product and application engineer specializing in motion controls, and Hypertherm CAM software experts will join Jim. They will cover a number of performance strategies employed by the some of the best fabricators and steel service centers in the country. In addition, the New Hampshire training will include time in Hypertherm’s advanced Cutting Technology Center.

These one-day educational Advanced Productivity Training events will be followed by one-day ProNest Power User training events. Hypertherm CAM software experts will share advanced, process-specific, programming techniques for plasma, laser, oxyfuel, and waterjet cutting.

Their tips are designed to assist companies with increasing their productivity and profitability, and will include tutorials on powerful production tools such as the integration of ProNest to an ERP/MRP system, the synchronization of work order flow and plate inventory, and efficient material utilization.

Registration for the live training events is taking place now at response.hypertherm.com/LiveTraining. Again, there is no cost to attend any of these Hypertherm sponsored educational training events, though space is limited to ensure a manageable presenter to participant ratio.

Hypertherm designs and manufactures advanced cutting products for use in a variety of industries such as shipbuilding, manufacturing, and automotive repair. Its product line includes handheld and mechanized plasma systems and consumables, as well as fiber laser and now waterjet products, in addition to CNC motion and height controls and CAM cutting software.

Hypertherm systems are trusted for performance and reliability that result in increased productivity and profitability for hundreds of thousands of businesses. The New Hampshire based company’s reputation for cutting innovation dates back more than 40 years, to 1968, with Hypertherm’s invention of water injection plasma cutting. The associate owned company, consistently named one of the best places to work in America, has more than 1,300 associates along with operations and partner representation worldwide.
