IMI, a manufacturer of magnetic components and assemblies, recently announced the promotion of Dennis O’Leary to the position of president.
O’Leary joined Industrial Magnetics, Inc. (Boyne City, MI) in 1999 as a marketing specialist and was promoted to marketing manager in 2000.
A few years later, he became the director of marketing and field sales, managing seven regional sales managers across the United States. He was later promoted to director of sales and marketing where he oversaw the entire marketing and sales efforts of the company.
Since 2011, he has served as IMI’s general manager. “I’m obviously thrilled with the progress our company continues to make year-over-year, which is a testament to teamwork and a solid business model”, states O’Leary.
“Moving into the role of president is exciting; it will provide more opportunity to effect positive change when working with our channel partners on efforts to promote mutually beneficial ideas and programs. We’ve got a fantastic organization in place and I expect everyone at IMI to continue to grow as our business grows.”
The past president of IMI, Bud Shear, will now be taking on the role of the company’s chief executive officer. Regarding his successor, he states, “I am very pleased to announce Dennis’ promotion to president of Industrial Magnetics. Dennis has been instrumental in helping the company double in size and will use his past experience, drive and intelligence to provide solid direction for the future.”
He continued, “Not only is he a valued employee, but an exemplary husband and father, and I am sure he will use all his attributes to be a great president for IMI.”
