Red Bud Industries (Red Bud, IL) hosted a Coil Processing Seminar in Chesterton, Indiana, on September 12, 2013. Over 40 attendees learned about medium-gage-cut-to-length-blanking-lines/, multi-blanking, leveling, slitting, and a new process (EPS®) for hot roll black material along with learning how to apply new technology, improve tolerances, produce optimum flatness in material, and maximize overall efficiency.
Featured speakers included Dean Linders, vice president of marketing and sales for Red Bud Industries, Tom Hazen, formerly of Herr-Voss and now a consultant to the metals processing industry, Al Zelt, one of the leading experts in slitting technology, and Jeff Herrell of Red Bud Industries, who work with companies to provide solutions for their coil processing issues.
The seminar concluded with a tour of Ratner Steel, Portage, Indiana, where the attendees were able to view a Red Bud Industries’ Heavy Gage Cut-To-Length Line with Stretcher Leveler in operation.
