Evana Automation Specialists (Evansville, IN), a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries (PSI; Livonia, MI) and leading Systems Integrator and builder of custom, automated assembly and test systems, recently delivered a custom screw driving system to a prominent U.S. construction products manufacturer.

The system automates the assembly of modular aluminum fencing, which drastically reduces manual labor and increases quality assurance. The system incorporates innovative, flexible tooling and a Motoman robot to simultaneously drive multiple screws to specified torque/depth.

“Evana’s automated assembly systems can help manufacturers in virtually any industry,” said Randy Wire, general manager of Evana Automation Specialists. “We always look for the most efficient and effective solution for every assembly process.”

The company utilizes diverse technologies to specialize in motion control, robotics integration and system architecture by linking production equipment, material handling systems, data collection, networking, as well as computer hardware and software into flexible, unified technology.

Test equipment can be integrated into assembly systems, stand alone systems for automatic testing, or manual test benches. Overall, Evana’s custom assembly and test solutions improve efficiency for manufacturers all over the world in industries like automotive, aerospace, defense, healthcare, mining and energy.
