E. H. Wachs (Lincolnshire, IL) introduces its new Large Diameter Split Frame (LDSF) for cold cutting, beveling, facing and counterboring on large diameter pipes and vessels. Picking up where our midsize split frame leave off, four standard LDSF sizes will cover a range from 60 in to 120 in O.D.
The Wachs LDSF has been engineered to incorporate new advancements, making it stronger, faster to set up, faster to operate and even more versatile than our already class leading HDSF models. Features and options include a clean, powerful hydraulic drive system with dual drive motors. The machine splits into quadrants for easier storage, transport and set‐up and has a hinged open/close mechanism that simplifies positioning and operation.
The cutting tool also features heat treated steel construction for durability, a new I.D. and O.D. leg clamping system, and drive and tool slide interfaces match existing Wachs accessories. The new, stronger roller bearing design contributes to the smooth operation and long service.
