ABB Robotics (Auburn Hills, MI) features their new IRB 6700, a complete robot family with payloads from 150 kg to 300 kg and reaches from 2.6 m to 3.2 m, designed for Spot Welding, Material Handling and Machine Tending.
In addition to enhanced speed, payload and accuracy, power consumption has been lowered by 15 percent, total cost of ownership has been reduced by 20 percent, and maintenance has been optimized, doubling the time between service intervals.
The new generation, IRB 6700 family, are the highest performance robots in the 150-300 kg class, and are designed to provide a life time of affordability and reliability. They have has 20 percent lower Total Cost of Ownership thanks to a more robust design, longer service intervals and simplified maintenance.
The IRB 6700 is available with Lead ID, a new Integrated Dressing (ID) design for easier programming and a smaller footprint. It has also been built to withstand the harshest working environments and is available with ABB’s ultimate Foundry Plus 2 protection system. sales.info@us.abb.com, www.abb.com/robotics
