Yamazen Inc. (Schaumburg, IL) is pleased to announce the U.S. debut and distribution of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) series of table-type horizontal boring mills, known as the MAF-E Series.
The MAF150E features a boring spindle diameter of 150 mm and an 800 mm extendable spindle stroke, the longest among the same class for medium-size workpiece machining, thus expanding the range of medium-size workpieces. The new characteristics achieve high-speed, high-accuracy machining through their superior structural rigidity.
The main spindle features motor outputs of 30 kW, a spindle rotation speed of 3,000 rpm and a feed rate of 15 m per minute. The MAF-E Series was developed in order to achieve proficient machining of medium-size workpieces cost-effectively, a task commonly accomplished using expensive floor-type machines.
