Steve Healy recently became the new chief executive officer of Schuler Incorporated (Canton, MI). The newly created position encompasses a variety of roles for Healy, including president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board at Schuler’s North American headquarters. It also includes the role of chairman of the board of Bliss Clearing Niagara (BCN) Technical Services.
Healy joins Schuler with 30 years of senior executive and international experience serving many functional roles for industry-leading companies. Most recently, he served as vice president and general manager for Otis Elevator Company, where he directed strategy and operations in Latin America from 2009 to 2013.
“This is an exciting time for the region and for Schuler. The North American market is a strong focus as we work to continuously improve our ability to serve customers better,” said Healy. “Schuler is poised for growth, and I am looking forward to working with the entire team to continue the success we’re experiencing.”
Following a successful career that spanned 32 years at Schuler, former president and chief executive officer, Tim McCaughey, will remain available to the company as vice chairman of the board until March 31, 2014, and as a member of the board until March 31, 2015.
“With the launch of our global Growing Together 2.0 program, our new corporate structure will help us become more efficient and create a foundation to maintain success and meet future challenges,” said Stefan Klebert, chief executive officer of Schuler AG. “We must continue to focus on the needs of our customers and continuously improve our internal efficiencies to sustain the strong performance that we’ve had during the past few years.”
