LaserLinc (Fairborn, OH) has developed the NetLinc™ laser micrometer interface. The NetLinc interface streamlines the setup process by enabling transmission of measurement data via a standard Ethernet cable.
Simply plug one end of the cable into any PC, laptop, or all-in-one box running Total Vu™ software, and the other into the NetLinc micrometer’s Ethernet port. The NetLinc interface can also connect a micrometer to plant networks, streaming the data to a Total Vu PC via standard Ethernet TCP/IP.
Connectivity of the NetLinc interface is incorporated directly into most LaserLinc micrometers. To use the NetLinc interface with existing LaserLinc micrometers, you can add an external box.

The external box measures 6.7 in (172 mm) wide x 2.5 in (64 mm) high x 8.7 in (221 mm) deep; dimensions for the internal NetLinc interface varies for the micrometer inside which it is mounted.
