Roll-Kraft (Mentor, OH) is pleased to announce it has been awarded a 2013 Telly Award. The Telly Awards, now in their 34th year, honor the very best film and video productions and groundbreaking online video content. The award, in the Online Video category, was presented to Chuck Gehrisch, Roll-Kraft president, for the company’s recent video regarding the floating flange roll produced by the company.
Floating flange rolls result in mark-free tube and pipe with guaranteed performance.
Roll-Kraft has been manufacturing roll tooling for the tube and pipe and roll forming industries for over 50 years. During that time, the company has addressed many issues that have plagued the industry. One of those issues is the natural discrepancy that occurs during manufacturing, between the surface speed of the roll at its smallest diameter (the drive point), compared to the surface speed at the largest diameter of the roll.
This variation quite often causes marking to appear on the final product. The use of floating flange rolls helps prevent this age-old problem.
The process is explained in detail in the video, which appears on the Roll-Kraft YouTube channel. The floating flange video is just one of the Roll-Kraft online training videos that are available to the tube and pipe and roll forming industry.
