Hardinge Appoints New President for Turning/Milling Group
In addition to his new role, James P. Langa will also continue in his corporate role of senior vice president of the overall company.

Hardinge Inc. (Elmira, NY), an international provider of advanced metal-cutting solutions, has announced that James P. Langa has been appointed to the new role of president of the Turning/Milling Group. Langa will continue to report directly to Richard L. Simons, the chairman, president and chief executive officer of Hardinge Inc.
Prior to this appointment, Langa was responsible for Hardinge’s turning and milling operations in Asia. He joined the company in 2007 after 24 years with the Wellman Products Group of Hawk Corporation, where he held a succession of management positions.
“I look forward to Jim now having the full resources and responsibility to manage the entire global turning and milling operations of our organization, including North America and Europe. I have full confidence that this change will help us strengthen our focus on our worldwide customers, providing them with the turning and milling products they need, the quality they expect, and the service they deserve,” said Rick Simons.
Langa will also continue in his corporate role of senior vice president of the overall Hardinge Inc. company.
